You will love to cut chicken!!!

I really love to cook, but there are certain things in the kitchen I just hate to do. For example I don't like to cut onions...I usually just use onion powder. The other thing I hate is cutting chicken! I always ask BJ to cut it for me, then I will cook it! Well...for those of you who are tracking with me, I have found the solution!! Are you ready for this?! Scissors! Of course I don't mean school scissors, I mean kitchen scissors. I would like to say that I am inventing this item, but sadly I can't say that because they come with every nice knife set! But, perhaps I am inventing the idea! For all of you who hate cutting chicken as much as I do, try it! It's kind of fun!!

Olivia's 5 months!!

Olivia all dressed for school on her 5 month birthday! BJ says she looks like an old grandma...I think she looks like a doll! Funny story, I dressed her and we walked over to the main building and 1 minute later, she spits up all over her dress! They had to change her the minute she got to the nursery :( BJ says it serves me right for dressing her like a grandma!

Olivia's 5 month picture. Check facebook to see the album "Watch me grow"
And...here she is sporting her cloth diaper and sticker that her aunt amilee makes. You can buy them at http://ebhdesigns.com/

I was looking at our friends blog and their sweet little baby just turned 1 month old...Happy birthday Elliott!! But, they did a neat list of her accomplishments...so I'm borrowing the idea!

Olivia at 5 months:
  • She is starting to get really "needy"...like her momma!
  • She started nursery and seems to love it
  • She started eating cereal and doesn't love it so much. She doesn't understand it!
  • She is sleeping 10 hours at night (things will look up Erica!)
  • She no longer has to do tummy time because she rolls over instantly
  • She's sporting cloth diapers now!
  • She LOVES, LOVES her jumperoo! and will even jump when you hold her!
  • She started "kissing" and "hugging" me. I swore to BJ that she does that and we just read it on her monthly developments that they will do that...so I am right!
  • She loves the Bible! Every time BJ sits with her and reads it, she immediately wants to touch, crinkle, eat it!
  • She weighs 13 1/2 pounds (as much as one of the kids here that's 2 months old!)
  • She's starting to grow back some of her hair...it's strawberry blonde
  • She won her first and probably last photo contest!
  • And she is starting to "talk". We can have a whole conversation of "ahhhs" now

This month has been a really exciting month with Olivia. We really feel like she has "woken up" from being a baby! We have a lot of fun with our little family!

Dairyland!

So, I started my new job last week as some of you know. Yes, I am a bus driver for Waukesha public schools! I drive middle schoolers in the morning and afternoon. I know you think that must be a nightmare, but it's not so bad. One of them tried to eat a pop tart on my bus the other day, so I made them throw it out the window... haha not really, but I did have to make an example of them! I took it and ate it.

Our classes started back up, and we love the book of Romans. Wow... we were enemies of God and now God looks at us and sees the righteousness of Christ. That is awesome. So, basically I think everyone should quit their jobs and come study the Bible at NTBI. =)

Olivia eats oatmeal now! Our little baby is growing up! =/

My sweet niece!

As I was looking at videos from the summer, I saw this one of my sweet, crazy niece! She is hilarious! I was also frightened to think that Olivia will be as big as her sooner than I want to think!

P.S-The last vido is cute, but it's not the one that I wanted to put! I thought I was posting a video of Olivia laughing at herself in the mirror. Oh well. You can use your imagination!

One more video!

She is just so cute! We keep saying that she is getting more fun!

Week one of our Junior year!

Our nursery! You'd never know that our bed is right on the end of this picture! Small space, but we've tried to create a nursery!
The sweetest thing ever! BJ was reading and Olivia wanted to be a part of it! You can't really tell, but she was turn and ripping the pages! So cute!!

You heard right, we're already juniors! haha, but it really means that we are on our third semester of 4, here at the bible school. We've had a pretty big week....Olivia started daycare and she also got sick :( I don't think those two went hand in hand. I think she actually got sick with all of our traveling...did I tell you that we flew to Alabama this weekend?! Yes, we are crazy!! It was great getting to see all of BJ's family! Anyways, daycare has been really good. You know they have to love her when they ask if she ever cries, or they say "she was great as always!" We're so proud of her!! Attached are the pictures and videos that I promised you!

This video is one of the funniest things that has happened this week. Olivia got this new toy (the Jumperoo) that she just loves! She is able to stand and jump in it! Well, I was being silly and galloping into the kitchen and she happened to see it! She started laughing and jumping so hard, so I continued to do it. This went on for a while and we were all cracking up!!! Like mother, like daughter! Hey, we have a lot of fun at our house!!
