Good news, bad news...

We have both good and bad news. I'll start with the bad news: Olivia is sick :( I hate when she is sick. She is always so joyful and fun; but when she is sick, she is sad and clingy. It breaks my heart. As we speak, she is in bed and wimpers every once in a while. She has had a fever for over 24 hours and a rash. We aren't sure if it's roseola or just a heat rash with a fever. Either way, we are ready for her to be well.

Okay...good news (as of 2 weeks ago). Olivia is walking!!! She is 15 months, but walks like she has been doing it forever! Our friend, Margaret, told us that she wouldn't do it, until she did it perfect. She was right. She just got up one morning and started walking...everywhere...without falling! We can't believe it!! It is so much fun!

We are having so much fun in Oklahoma, although the heat is unbearable. I know we've done a horrible job posting, I am sorry! Soon, we will post a blog for every place we've been this summer!

Branson Trip

I know I haven't done a good job posting this summer, but I will definitely post later about each state we've been in. I wanted to write a quick one while I was thinking about our night! We've been in Branson with my family and have been having a great time. We each chose one big thing that we wanted to do and BJ and my parents chose Noah, the musical. It was AWESOME! The first part of the play was Noah building the ark, and the second part opened with all the animals surrounding us!!! We were in the ark! It really was incredible! There were real animals and it really felt so real. The coolest part was the foreshadow of how there was only one door on the ark that those who believed entered into, and the cross is the ONE DOOR that we can enter into if we believe! I was happy to see that everyone who goes to this play is getting to view how God uses the Old Testament to reveal His promises, and it gives us a hope! If you get the oportunity...pay the money and go!

Olivia did not get the opportunity to go, but Jason and Eilene watched her! It was good to know she was in such good hands...and practice for them (as they will be parents in 6 months!) They said that she was really good, but when they put her to bed, she kept looking at the door (for us!) The sweetest part of the night was coming home to "peek" on Olivia in her crib. I think that she noticed our presence and stood up and said "ooo!" There was no escaping! She knew we were in there! We turned on a light and hugged her and told her goodnight! It was like she was waiting on us to get home! The smile on our face seemed like it was as big as the rainbow that God used to promise us He would never flood the earth! We are so blessed!

Our 1st Date!!

Many of you know, that BJ and I met 6 years ago at a summer christian project called Kaleo. Kaleo is held in Destin, Florida and is a 10 week long project where you learn how to discpile others on your campus and you get a taste of what the bible says about "missions"! That summer, in 2005, was the summer that both BJ and I went to Kaleo from our colleges (OU and Arkansas) and started what has ended up to be a happy marriage and 1 1/2 children!! Oh yeah, and on our way to be missionaries. Many say that it ruins your life for the good...I would have to agree! Anyways, during the project, you have "unifiers" that say you can't date until the last day. Many people like to say that we broke that unifier...but I assure you, that we waited until July 29th to date! 6 years later, we are vacationing in Destin with the Sanders' family and we thought that it would be sweet to relive our first date and take a walk down memory lane. Here are some pictures:This is the restaurant, Thai Delight, that BJ took me to. We were worried that it wouldn't be there because it was a hole in the wall. It was still there and nothing had changed...we were still the ONLY people in the restaurant! The food was amazing. They even had mangos and sticky rice (which we had no idea what that was our first date!)The walk down memory lane. This is where I worked! Boogies is the ideal summer job where you rent out parasails, wave runners, and dolphin cruises! I loved my job! BJ used to take me to work every morning...that's how our relationship started! This is the harbor right where I worked. They have really built up the area. I assure you that we didn't do any of this our first date ;)

Last, but not least, we had to go and see if our hotel that the project stayed in still existed. It did! Still as janky as ever! What a great date to spend with the boyfriend that I fell in love with!!
